Hi Philip,
I've been lucky enough to find a piece of brown opal but I can't find any info on it. Could you tell me something about the healing properties of brown opal.

If there's no fire then it's a variety of common opal which is great for the sacral chakra especially for issues related to self-importance, business relationships, yin/yang and vitality.

Thank you Philip. It is an interesting crystal - a half geode. You can see the layers. One of rock, one of brown opal (without fire) and then on the top, like icing on a cake a layer of fire.
