These medium size Quartz Geodes appear as little more than dusty rocks, but once opened the inside reveals a completely crystal interior of White Quartz and sometimes calcite.

A Geode is a self contained mini crystal cave, in this case quartz crystals. The geode is formed from a ball of gas propelled from a volcano cools to form a solid coating and the inside remains partly hollow allowing the minerals present to crystalise within. In this case forming perfect white quartz crystals.
